OUR HISTORY
MODERN FURNITURE REINVENTED
Roberto Guzman and David Khouri first met at Columbia University as graduate students. After working at some of New York’s most prestigious firms, they left their jobs to realize their first design studio, Comma, in 2003.
In 2010, the restless visionaries pushed forward again, co-founding KGBL in gallery space on a High Line block in West Chelsea’s art district, where they designed and successfully produced more than 100 unique pieces. Fast forward another decade and once again Guzman and Khouri, along with Andrew Griffin, decided to give life to their boldest idea yet: the realization of this eponymous new venture.
GUZMAN | KHOURI is the culmination of the work of two masterful designers who have produced some of the most iconic furniture pieces of the new century. The mission of the company is no less than to redefine production furniture, infusing it with the spirit of what, up until now, would only have been described as art pieces. GUZMAN | KHOURI is the fully realized vision of what is next in the world of design, guided by a unique perspective of both the past and, more importantly, the future of collectible design.
